Screen print is applied to replicated discs where special colours are required. It is suited to large areas and blocks of solid colour but is unsuitable for artwork with images, tints, halftones and complex shading.
Select up to a maximum of six special colours, including the option of a white base as one of those six, to the silver surface of the disc. Remember to include the special colours you require on your order. |
Should your artwork contain images or tints, this can be produced by using Litho Print as an alternative, which is has a much higher output resolution, however it does not allow the use of special colours which screen print does.
Screen print can be applied to replicated discs on quantities of 1000 upwards.
For runs under 1000, we can duplicate CD-R / DVD-R and apply Thermal Print to the disc face, though, like litho print, this will be out of process colours (CMYK) only.
As with all forms of disc surface print, colours can vary from what you might expect, as printing on discs is not the same as printing on paper. For more information please read our Colour page to ensure you get the result you expect.
